At the Olde Towne School for Dogs, we have developed a method that is owner friendly and
offers excellent and lasting results in helping dogs become welcome members of their families.
Dogs and people do best when presented with consistency and structure in a fair and kind
fashion. We have found the most effective method for training a dog is to find a motivational
source for the dog and to teach exercises using repetitive steps and praise. There is no equal for
hard work and consistency when teaching your dog. Our method is compatible with those of
our many friends and colleagues, such as the late Capt. Arthur Haggerty, Matthew Margolis, and
Brian Kilcommons. Having trained well over 20,000 dogs and their owners since 1975, we have
developed a formula that has stood the test of time. This fact is evident by the large number of
repeat clients that we work with each year. We continue to educate ourselves and our staff in
new techniques and strive to learn all that we can in the field of dog education, behavior, and
instruction.
